Your Presenters

Pat Burdick, Assistant Director of Colby College Special Collections, has been working with Colby's rare and unique materials for over 20 years. She received her MLS degree with an archival concentration from Simmons College and continues to serve as an archival consultant and workshop presenter throughout the state of Maine. Before finding her way to the world of archives, she completed a masters program in Mechanical Engineering at Lehigh and Georgia Tech, working as a research engineer at MIT. She lives on North Pond in the Belgrade Lakes area with her covivant, artist Kevin James, and three lovely felines. She is a Master Gardener and helps to maintain the gardens at Skowhegan History House and the Fairview Grange in Smithfield as part of her yearly community service.

Paige Lilly has held several positions in Maine's archives and museums, ranging from the Shaker Library in New Gloucester to the William S. Cohen Papers at University of Maine's Fogler Library in Orono and recently served as curator at the Castine Historical Society (2009-2021). A cofounder of the Society of Maine Archivists, which later merged with MAM, Paige worked with Pat Burdick on a statewide archives training project in the 1990s. She earned a B.A. at Colby College, a master's from the University of Southern Maine in American and New England Studies, and completed the 2013 Seminar for Historical Administration through AASLH. She offers collections consulting services for municipal governments, nonprofits, businesses, and families from her home office in Blue Hill.
