Yarmouth Historical Society is seeking an energetic Museum Assistant for a 22 hour-a-week entry level position based in Yarmouth, Maine. The Museum Assistant will support all aspects of museum operation at the Yarmouth History Center, including public and school programs, collections and exhibitions, social media marketing, and customer service. The schedule is generally flexible, but Saturdays and occasional evenings are required
Preferred qualifications: a bachelor’s degree in a related field, experience in customer service, enthusiasm for local history, and a strong willingness to support many facets of small nonprofit and museum operations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
