Running All-Volunteer Organizations

An Online Roundtable Discussion

with Katie Murphy and Tom Guglielmo

Join North Yarmouth Historical Society president Katie Murphy and Isle au Haut Historical Society acting president Tom Guglielmo for a friendly drop-in roundtable session on Zoom to discuss running all-volunteer organizations. Bring your questions, success stories, and ideas and plan to spend some time meeting and networking with your colleagues from around the state. This event is free to MAM members and will be an informal chat driven by member questions, so drop-ins at any time during the event are welcome. This session is primarily dedicated to all-volunteer organizations. Attendance is capped at 25 to allow for easy participation and discussion. If demand is high, we will consider adding an additional session in the near future.

Your Presenters

Katie Murphy is a personal historian (Univoicehistory.com) and has headed up North Yarmouth Historical for twenty years. Her first job after arriving in Maine in 1979 was librarian of Maine Historical Society.

Tom Guglielmo is a summer resident of Isle au Haut and, for the past five years, the Acting President of the Isle au Haut Historical Society. We are a small band of dedicated volunteers trying to preserve the rich history of our beloved Island and are currently trying to move our collection from several file draws in our Town Hall to a more permanent home.
