Portland --- Portland musician Troy Bennett will offer a concert of original Maine historical songs in Tate House Museum’s beautiful backyard and garden on Wed July 16 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
Award-winning journalist and folksinger Troy R. Bennett has spent more than 25 years chronicling current and old-time Maine events in both song and newsprint. Bennett’s longtime storytelling efforts have created a unique body of work illuminating his home state’s quirky, often funny, and always poignant history. Bennett’s concerts include gorgeous melodies, mandatory sing-alongs, and inspired moments of sheer joy that offer a FUN way to learn about Maine history. Come find out why newspaper colleagues dubbed Bennett the world’s only “banjournalist.”
